How do you know it was a farmer as it could have been just lads being utter dicks? Did you get a note? Due to fact that your bank card was stolen suggests not a farmer and just hooligans or even that other driver.

Where were you parked when you first got to the lakes? Backing onto a lake is a goal!

There is no doubt your experience was just awful. As bad as it gets. And I truly feel for you in that respect. However, while you have good reason to SUSPECT who did it, you have no proof so it’s unfair to lay blame where there is no proof. That is definitely not going to help matters for others visiting the area either if local farmers are being given a bad name. Your argument for why it happened (your car deemed to be in the way on the PRIVATE road) is a reason you also argue strongly does not exist. If it doesn’t exist (ie there was plenty of room around you for most vehicles to pass) then how can you be so certain that is the reason for the attack on your car? Just because certain items weren’t stolen proves nothing, really. Using your own logic and reasoning isn’t enough to provide enough proof to point the finger in such a public way.

Quick tip I learned in America, get yourself a dash cam and backing camera that record footage. If anyone comes near the car you have it all recorded and they can go to jail

PS utterly not shocked a farmer did this. Farmers are horrid people. Imagine having the coldness of soul to raise beautiful animals only to slaughter them senselessly. Makes sense they have dark souls.

Honestly, as a full time traveller / digital nomad since 2008, I can say the UK is the worst place on planet earth for the locals being horrid. People all over the uk are just awful when it comes to people living a different or more free way of life. They’re all so conservative and stuck in the matrix and do hateful it’s actually a dangerous place to be as a foreigner or traveller. Can’t wait to leave.

I believe its the campsite owner just down the road as he has a temper from a review on there. Plus would have a reason in his eyes as you could of camped there so made you suffer... just my opinion

Looks more like a random attack rather than a farmer. I've been enjoying the national parks for fifty years, climbing walking even sking. In that time I have noticed how much pressure is being exerted on these natural gems. Unfortunately the word park often leads people into the lack of respect, basically they think the local authority will clean up after them. The answer is education, teach people how to respect the land including traffic management and parking. I would not have parked in the gateway there is adequate parking provided. Just a little more walking. I think someone has just had enough and seen red. They are probably regretting it. It's about time the government set up a strategy for proper management of outdoor space. Incentives for farmers to develop eco carparks, low impact holiday accommodation, shuttle bus services etc. I recently witnessed a Snowdonia hill farmer managing a car eon his field in llanberiss , he probably makes more money in a month than a whole year of backbreaking hill farming! Yes he's got off his arse and reduced the volume of traffic and improved his income. Imagine if he had some help building a proper facility. ! He could issue e tickets. These could be used for bus travel and data capture, data that helps manage visitors to the national park. ! We need to manage the volume of visitors and education of how precious these places are.

Local angry farmer? When you showed the satellite view you can clearly see there was a pay to stay campsite just opposite where you parked...Obviously wild campers who avoid using their campsite don't make them any money, so that would be the first place to look for whodunnit.

I can't believe insurance won't help you that's so rotten and if it wasn't the farmer who did it and it was just kids they would of robbed the inside and anyone besides the farmer wouldn't know if the car was broke down so I'm thinking farmer too ,that's so rotten we're all just trying to get by right now let's not make it any harder for our country's people wherever you are ❤️

Set up a trail cam watching the car they are cheap enough and give you the chance of catching the culprits in future.

Been here quite a few times, absolutely stunning scenery, going again beginning of December, hopefully get some different photos
